a day

I'm up early this morning and actually excited about it. You see y'all today is MY DAY. I have a babysitter booked for Brennan, I am going to the gym a little early, and then I have the ENTIRE DAY to MYSELF! It is much needed. What are my plans??? To do nothing. Nada. Well, I do have a 30% off coupon to Gap and Old Navy so I may hit up the mall area and grab some lunch with my sister. Or I may not. It's my preference today and I LOVE it!

I started my Spring Break on Wednesday and I have been loving every minute of it so far. Nice weather, no plans, house clean, well organized at least ;). I originally had planned to do some home improvement projects (don't you just love living in an older home!) but decided against it for the moment. Over the next year, our(my) plan is finish off some long overdue improvements to our home. We've done A LOT over the years (new patio, new driveway, new garage door, painted garage, etc.) but I feel now is the time to finish off some other plans. So here is our little home improvement list:

[   ]  scrape and paint ceilings in the living room/kitchen, bathroom and hallway (Amazingly enough it was already done in the bedrooms before we moved in.)

[   ]  new interior doors and knobs

[   ]  new ceiling fans (I could NOT live without ceiling fans in my home. LOVE them!!!)

[   ] crown molding throughout the house (My FIL did this to his house and his parents' house so I'm hoping he'll do it for ours too.)

[   ] new vent covers

So there you have it. Hopefully, this will get us to where we will be ready to sell next year (if that's what the Lord has planned for us). Brad finished the first part of his studies (Yay for no more reading and test-taking for a while!!!) this week. Now on to moving into a training position and logging cases. For those of you who don't know Brad is a technician in heart surgery and is study for another endorsement to make more money and different hours. Can I get a WOO-HOO!?!

{Five seconds later he fell down the steps. He was ok though. I think he was more mad than hurt because I made him get off before I had a nervous breakdown trying to watch him.}

With this gorgeous weather we've had the last few weeks (on and off) Brennan and I hit up the playground with a few friends and the zoo yesterday which he LOVED! We had not been to the zoo since before Christmas so it was like it was his first time. He was so into it!

{Yes, that is my child pitching a royal fit at the playground in front of all the other moms and their kiddos. All of this because I wouldn't let him play in the parking lot. Seriously! Gotta love tired, hungry 16-month-olds.}

It's going to be 80 degrees today!!!

And that makes me smile! :)))))
