I have to confess that I absolutely LOVE planning parties. Love, Love, LOVE it! Right now I have 4 different "themes" to plan for with maybe some other possibles in there too. Here is a little list of what is being planned...

1. Spa Party- This one is next week. My sister is getting married next Saturday so we are doing a spa party for her bridesmaids instead of a bachelorette party. We're also doing a lingerie shower in there too. I have had an ABSOLUTE BLAST planning for this party. We're having a masseur come and do some massages as well as a friend from church doing some foot rubs. The colors are bright, summery and fun! I will definitely post pictures of it. :)

2. Brennan's 1st Birthday Party- Well, I think I've mentioned before that I had a theme all picked out last summer while I was pregnant with him. For a solid year, I have been jotting down details, ideas, snippets of what I had in mind. Today, I went to Hobby Lobby to look at some fabrics and walked out with way more than I anticipated. But I think what I have planned is going to be WAY CUTE. Besides this is his first birthday! I probably won't do it this big again (or maybe not :) but he's never had a birthday before so I really wanted it to be special. Right now my planning template is 5 pages long with pictures. :)

3. Baby Shower- My sister's friend from childhood is having a baby. This friend has really turned out to be one of my good friends now. She got married a few years ago and joined our Sunday School class so we've grown close. She's having a boy. I am toying with the idea/theme of "Cute as a Button" and do lots of buttons instead of the traditional baby stuff. I'm super excited about doing this shower. I've not yet decided on the colors. I guess that will depend on where I can find some cute buttons. And I'm going to try and stay away from doing blue and brown. I was thinking maybe orange and light blue. It's just what has popped into my mind and hasn't left yet. (That's strange to actually have some stick in my mind! Rarely happens these days!)

4. Ladies' Christmas Tea- Thankfully this is only a table! I think I am going to do brown, gold and bright blue this year. For Christmas last year I got some brown dishes. If you remember correctly I also got some blue Easter dishes also. I love dishes. I have a bad obsession with them. I may or may not be eyeing some white dishes at Wal-Mart right now. I'm telling you, it's BAD!

Other possibles...

5. Halloween party- I am thinking of doing a little Halloween playdate for some babies Brennan plays with. Since I am only working part-time I thought it would be fun!

6. Christmas party- Same thing here with doing a little Christmas party playdate!

7. Ladies Cookie Exchange- I saw this idea in an online magazine last year and wanted to do it last year but just having a baby and being sick (anemia) I didn't feel up to it. But this year I think I might. I'm not sure if I want to do it at my house or do it at my church's fellowship hall and make it church-wide. I think it would be a blast though!

Yes, you read that right. I am potentially planning 7 parties to happen in the next 5 months! Ahhh! But like I said before I love party planning and I love to entertain.
