Very Creative...

I have this crazy, spunky, fun-loving kid in my class. I want to share the story he wrote.

When I do small reading groups, I have workstations for the other kids to go to throughout the room. One workstation is the writing center. I type up a prompt about the weekly reading story for my students to write about. The story this one particular week was Around the Pond: Who's Been Here? The prompt was to tell me/pretend about a time you went on an adventure or something to that effect. My student, J, decided to write a different story.

Here is his story:

I have a dog named Sunshine. He is nice to me. He eats a lot of food. He plays with me. He is a hunting dog. He is a Chihuahua.

He has a hunting dog, which is a Chihuahua, named Sunshine.
